TŌ consist of recordings from my travels in both Greenland and Japan. An audiovisuel piece with the purpose of celebrating the static states we surround ourselves with – day to day.
The piece is split into three closely connected parts, in which the sound and picture is let to twirl around itself. Each presenting a somewhat never ending soundscape.
The momentarily passing in a musical piece is an interest of mine. I try to describe this concept ‘Gardens’ as a way of experiencing the static quality of wandering into a piece, for the next moment to leave it be, only to continue to the next.
First performed at ‘RAMA FESTIVAL 2018’ with live accompaniment by Laurits Jongejan and Natal Zaks.
