Sun Chariot

Upcoming production 2024:

‘Solvogn’ is a sound piece delving into the world of quantum computing. Using the Danish bronze age treasure ‘Solvognen’  as setting  stone, this piece recontextualizes quantum computing. The piece explores the human dream across all times in our history of describing and understanding the most complex powers and systems we are surrounded with in nature: The movements of the celestial bodies’ over the sky, wind and weather, and the movement of riches across ocean.

Three Shields

Upcoming production 2022:

‘Three Shields’ is sound piece exploring human voices secluded and foreign to the human body. The piece takes form as an artistic research into the possibility of producing sound reminiscent of the human voice, solely by acoustic or mechanical means.

A shrine of sacred fear

‘A shrine of Sacred Fear’ was my first sound installation combining mechanical and digital elements. The piece functions as an automaton with no immediate capacity for human interaction. I didn’t want the piece to present an interface, but rather make a machine centred both physically and metaphorically around its own midpoint. The eight brass plates enclosing the inner core function both as the main sound source of the piece, and as a  symbolic protection for the inner workings. At the center, a computer activates the mechanical parts, creating an enigmatic sonic experience that combines digital accuracy with acoustic pandemonium.

Divine accents of other voices

Divine Accents of Other Voices is a choir piece for voice synthesis. The piece explores the physical embodiment of virtual voices, and the portrayal of these non-human sonic entities. The choir is made up of seven specifically designed speakers, modelled in an almost human-like fashion, and through acoustic and formant optimisation, it unfolds the potential of these uncanny voices.

TŌ consist of recordings from my travels in both Greenland and Japan. An audiovisuel piece with the purpose of celebrating the static states we surround ourselves with day to day.

Nanas late night kecak

‘Nanas Late Night Kecak’ is a video piece bringing the viewer on a gritty and pulsating walk, with a soundtrack emphasizing the movements in the picture.

It is a study in the relationship and dynamic forces between auditive and visual parts. A way of composing sound and picture in one ‘flow’.

Growth mkii

‘Growth MKll’ was a synthesizer with a core of organic growth and decay. The patterns and growth of mold in a scaled up petri dish was being interpreted and turned into sound.

Growth-mkII was presented as an investigation of the creation that inevitably results from the decaying of organic matter. The mold can be seen as the transition of material from one thing to another, interpreted in sound.

This piece was made as part of DDA.
